UNO INDOOR AIR QUALITY MONITORING

Research shows that people spend around 90% of their time indoors, where they may be exposed to factors such as volatile organic compounds, fine particulate matter and mould.

Improving indoor air quality and creating healthy environments are therefore key priorities in modern building design.

UNO is designed in line with WELL certification standards.

The solution combines a smart management platform with a mobile app that continuously monitors environmental parameters, intelligently manages HVAC systems or fresh-air levels and takes action when air quality falls below acceptable thresholds.

It is suitable for offices, schools, public spaces, hospitals and residential buildings.

CONFIGURATIONS AND FEATURES

How UNO works

UNO devices can detect carbon monoxide (CO), PM2.5 particulate matter, PM10 particulate matter, formaldehyde (HCHO), ozone (O3), total volatile organic compounds (TVOC), as well as temperature, humidity and lighting.

UNO is not only a monitoring device: it can connect independently to ventilation systems or integrate with central air-conditioning systems. When indoor air quality deteriorates, it can immediately trigger an alarm and activate fresh-air supply to replace stale air.

UNO’s design supports the achievement of LEED® standards for sustainable buildings and WELL® standards focused on the health and wellbeing of building occupants.

Key features

  • Accurately detects airborne elements that are harmful to health. It is supplied with a test certificate issued by an independent laboratory and annual calibration services are available.
  • With plug-and-play connectivity, it displays real-time information about the indoor environment.
  • Provides historical data, trends, index analysis and cloud data storage.
  • Intelligently integrated with HVAC systems or fresh-air systems, it actively helps improve air quality, ensuring a healthier and more comfortable environment.

FAQ

The UNO system is designed for facilities where tenants and owners take a holistic approach focused on occupant wellbeing and healthy spaces. It is particularly suitable for offices, schools, public spaces, hospitals and residential buildings seeking to achieve or maintain sustainability and wellbeing standards such as WELL® and LEED®. It is an ideal choice for organisations that want to turn their building into an environment actively focused on health and productivity.

The optimal location and number of devices depend on regulatory objectives and the building’s architectural characteristics. If the facility is following a rigorous WELL® certification process, at least one monitor should be provided for each individual environment, with the number calibrated according to the specific floor area. In other contexts, to ensure reliable monitoring and effective coverage, best practice recommends at least one sensor for every 250 square metres.

Yes. Depending on the version (on premise or cloud), the system continuously stores measurement history, trend data and index analysis. In accordance with applicable regulations, the collected and stored data provide accurate support for periodic checks, energy audits and company reporting. Indoor-air-quality (IAQ) and microclimate data can also be displayed to occupants in real time, for example through dashboards or displays, increasing transparency and awareness of the conditions in the spaces they use.
