Solutions for Offices

We make workplaces flexible, intelligent and secure to reduce operating costs, optimise energy efficiency and improve employee wellbeing.

SMART OFFICE MANAGEMENT

The world of work no longer follows rigid schedules, so modern offices need to be as flexible as the organisations that occupy them.

Office management requires dynamic systems that support employee productivity and wellbeing while minimising energy consumption and environmental impact.

Data Controls provides innovative Building Automation and Energy Management solutions for offices, enabling real-time monitoring and control of lighting, climate systems, security and indoor air quality.

Office subsystems — from climate control to security — can be monitored and managed in real time through intuitive platforms that are also accessible remotely.

SMART MANAGEMENT FOR ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND ENVIRONMENTAL COMFORT

Energy efficiency is fundamental to reducing office operating costs.

Advanced automation systems optimise lighting, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), improving occupant comfort while continuously monitoring and analysing the health of indoor environments.

Data Controls Building Automation solutions use intelligent sensors to detect occupancy and automatically adjust lighting according to available daylight, while advanced algorithms adapt climate control to environmental conditions and the number of occupants.

Using an open BACnet platform, this dynamic management reduces energy consumption and helps lower the building’s environmental impact, creating a more sustainable and responsible workplace.

BENEFITS

01

Significant reduction in energy consumption.

02

Automatic optimisation of resources according to occupancy and environmental conditions.

03

Improved sustainability through reduced environmental impact.

INDOOR AIR-QUALITY CONTROL SYSTEMS

Employee wellbeing is also influenced by indoor air quality.

In enclosed environments, the accumulation of CO₂ and other gases naturally present in workplaces, together with high humidity, can contribute to fatigue and reduced productivity.

Data Controls advanced air-quality control systems continuously monitor CO₂, humidity and other volatile substances typically found indoors, adjusting parameters to maintain healthier conditions.

The systems can be customised to individual preferences, for example by adjusting temperature and lighting according to specific user requirements, improving both comfort and productivity.

BENEFITS

01

Continuous indoor air-quality monitoring for healthier workplaces.

02

Personalised environmental conditions for individual comfort.

03

Improved employee satisfaction and productivity.

OFFICE SECURITY

Workplace security is essential for protecting employees and company assets.

Modern, flexible offices require integrated and automated security systems.

Data Controls combines advanced video surveillance, motion sensors and biometric access-control technologies, providing flexible, scalable use according to the specific environment and time of day.

Intelligent sensing supports both security and comfort, adapting functions to the operational context.

Systems can monitor the office in real time, rapidly identifying suspicious activity or unauthorised access. Motion sensors and biometric detection provide an additional layer of protection for sensitive areas and help ensure that only authorised personnel can enter restricted zones.

BENEFITS

01

Simplified, centralised management of office systems.

02

Rapid adaptation to changing operational requirements such as hybrid working.

03

Freedom to integrate future technologies and continually improve efficiency.

PROCESS INTEGRATION AND AUTOMATION

During day-to-day use of office spaces, manually managing complex systems such as lighting, climate control, security and access control can be inefficient and prone to error.

Process automation and system integration are therefore essential for creating smart workplaces, optimising the operation of the entire building and improving productivity.

Data Controls Building Automation solutions integrate the multiple systems found in an office within a single centralised platform while retaining distributed management logic.

Lighting, HVAC, security and energy resources can be managed through one intuitive interface, accessible via a web portal or app on smartphones and tablets for both local and remote control.

The platform enables real-time monitoring and control of different systems, reducing the need for manual intervention and minimising the risk of human error.

Process automation not only simplifies day-to-day office management but also allows spaces to adapt quickly to evolving requirements, such as hybrid working or reconfiguring areas for new teams and projects.

BENEFITS

01

Advanced protection through video surveillance and intelligent sensors.

02

Continuous monitoring for an immediate response to potential threats.

03

Customised security to protect employees and company assets.

FAQ

Modern offices are no longer used uniformly. Flexible workstations, shared meeting rooms, collaborative spaces and different attendance patterns reduce the predictability of occupancy and make traditional fixed-schedule management systems inefficient.

Occupancy sensors that can be integrated into Data Controls solutions detect whether spaces are being used, depending on the installed configuration, and allow comfort, lighting and climate control to adapt automatically to actual use. Occupancy data is available through the supervision platform, giving the Facility Manager an up-to-date view of how the building is being used and supporting better space allocation.

Yes. Data Controls Building Automation systems regulate lighting and climate control dynamically by combining several variables: occupancy detected by sensors, available daylight, operating time windows, number of occupants and external environmental conditions. When a space is empty, lighting can be reduced or switched off automatically and climate control can return to standby mode. When occupancy is detected, systems can progressively restore the required comfort conditions within minutes without manual intervention.

This approach eliminates the main sources of energy waste in offices: systems running in unused spaces, artificial lighting operating at full output despite abundant natural light and uniform climate control regardless of occupancy, with a tangible and measurable impact on consumption and operating costs.

Depending on the installed sensors, Data Controls IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) monitoring systems can measure CO₂ concentration, temperature, relative humidity, volatile organic compounds (VOC/TVOC), fine particulate matter (PM2.5/PM10) and atmospheric pressure. All parameters can be configured with customised alarm thresholds for each area.

If thresholds are exceeded, the system generates automatic alerts and, where integrated with HVAC systems, can increase air changes or activate targeted ventilation. Continuous air-quality monitoring is not only a matter of comfort: high CO₂ levels can indicate insufficient ventilation and affect perceived wellbeing in the workplace.

The Data Controls access-control system is designed to work with existing corporate technology infrastructure. Different authorisation profiles can be configured for employees, contractors, suppliers and visitors, with access limited to the areas relevant to each role and with configurable time windows and access duration.

Integration with existing HR systems and company badges is assessed during the design phase according to the organisation’s technology standards. In many environments, existing user records and profiles can be connected to the access-control system, avoiding separate databases and reducing administrative workload. Every access event is tracked, creating searchable entry and exit logs that can also support attendance management and space security.

The enteliWEB platform provides configurable dashboards for monitoring current and historical performance indicators. Key indicators include HVAC and lighting energy consumption by zone, floor or building; occupancy rates for meeting rooms and common areas where detected by installed systems; indoor air quality; thermal-comfort trends; alarm and intervention logs; and comparisons of consumption across different periods or building areas.

These data help Facility Managers identify inefficiencies, plan targeted action, document achieved results and support strategic decisions on space management, from layout reorganisation to scheduled-maintenance planning.

Yes. enteliWEB is accessible from PCs, tablets and smartphones through a responsive web interface without dedicated software installation. From a single screen, users can supervise and control in real time the office subsystems available on the platform, including climate control, lighting, access control and security.

Remote access allows Facility Managers or technical managers to intervene promptly even when they are not physically on site. They can receive alarm notifications, change system settings, check access status or review consumption data at any time. User profiles and platform permissions can be configured so that each operator can see and manage only the functions relevant to their responsibilities.
